Hastings, Michigan Wedding | Ashley Wentz Photography
The Catholic Ceremony of Theresa & Nick At St. Rose of Lima in Hasting, MI
These two have the BEST "How We Met" story that I have ever heard!! The very fist time they locked eyes was actually when they locked arms-as they both were about to walk down the aisle at the wedding rehearsal for HIS brother and HER sister. She was the Maid of Honor and he the Best Man. Theresa explains it that she was a ball of nerves and he instantly was a calming presence for her. And now, look at where they are!!! Walking down the aisle again at the same church their siblings wed in a few years prior, but as Husband + Wife. Their large families love each other and are a big part of their lives and were ecstatic to get to come together again. Most Ashley Wentz Photography couples highly value family, and Theresa and Nick were no exception. Their wedding celebration was so energizing because of their close knit family 💕
"N & T Forever" is engraved on the inside of their wedding bands. That's one of the simplest but most beautiful touches ever!
They choose not to see each other before the ceremony but did take a few minutes before hand to pray together.
(Is there really a better way to start your marriage?! )
"Ashley was a joy to work with; she made our photo sessions very fun yet professional. She captured the details of our wedding that was full of love, family and blessings. We pray that all future brides and grooms in this challenging season of wedding planning find the time to be able to soak in the important moments and look to their future. " - Theresa & Nick

BUILT IN BEST FRIENDS! Theresa's Bridesmaids also happen to be all five of her sisters 💕💕
It started to rain just as dinner was being served and the wedding reception had started, but then also looked like the rain wasn't going to stay long. I knew with where the sun was in position in the sky that we had a good chance for a rainbow to appear in the East so we kept a close eye outside and sure enough, just as they got "kicked off" the dance floor during the anniversary dance for being married less than 6 hours...we pulled them outside for 5 minutes. Getting away from the party with your loved one during the wedding day and getting a few minutes of alone time is almost always one of my couples' favorite parts. I've got "sunset photos" built into the timeline for just that reason but we will 100% also take advantage to sneak away for a RAINBOW!! 🌈.
One of their rainbow photos was also my choice for the photo I turned into a painting for them.
A love letter from your photographer....
Dear Theresa & Nick,
It was an ABSOLUTE pleasure to capture your love story. From engagement photos to your wedding day, I'm so grateful to have gotten to know you both and witness the love you have for God and one another. Your families are beautiful and such a joy to be around- THANK YOU for letting me celebrate you two! If any of your other siblings happened to connect on your day...tell them to keep me in mind 🥳. I wish you many, many years of love and happiness!!
